New Chapter for Tuolumne Spay and Neuter

It’s time for Tuolumne Spay and Neuter to shift our focus.

We started this journey in 2022 with the goal of helping improve the health of cats in Tuolumne County with low or no cost spay and neuter procedures. In partnership with wonderful volunteers, donors, and the Jamestown Veterinary Clinic, we helped many ferals, pets and their people.

We expanded to include food drives, and to help dogs, especially at Camp Justice where there was a strong need. We also helped to close 60 feral cat colonies, as well as lent out traps for neighbors to use to wrangle the cats and bring them in for care.

We funded these efforts with Trivia Nights and other FUNdraisers.

The time has come for us to make another shift. We are dissolving the nonprofit at the end of March. BUT it is not the end! Our current group of Board Members is committed to continue to raise funds on behalf of other area animal care and rescue groups – as well as host pet food drives to support local aid organizations. In fact, we are hosting one on May 2nd from 10am-3pm at Grocery Outlet. Please stop by!

We are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported us along the way, and we hope that same kindness and generosity will go to support other animal-related nonprofits in Tuolumne County. The following groups and individuals have gone above and beyond to help pets in our community:

P.S. – The Board would like to extend extreme gratitude to Carol Stoddard for the energy, motivation, and kindness in making the last few years possible and such a big success.

Thank you!!
