Every day in Tuolumne County, pets and feral animals face challenges that no creature should have to endure. A simple, caring act like a spay or neuter surgery marks the difference between struggle and safety. It’s easy to wish things could change, but when you step forward, real change starts to happen.
We know the strength in community—the kind that rolls up its sleeves and says, “Let’s fix this, together.” By joining the board at Tuolumne Spay and Neuter, you can put your compassion and common sense to work, guiding a nonprofit that helps animals thrive. All we need is your care for animals, willingness to work together, and drive to make a visible difference for your neighbors.
Since its establishment in July 2022, Tuolumne Spay and Neuter has facilitated the spaying and neutering of over 1,121 community cats and 39 dogs in the past 3.5 years. We’ve also helped close 59 feral cat colonies. The same small group of board members has been dedicated to this cause since the beginning, working tirelessly alongside a few caring volunteers.
Financially, TSN is stable, but we urgently need more board members and volunteers to ensure our future. We are a small and mighty crew that needs your help to spread the workload among more people.
As a board member, you don’t just support an organization, you become the heart of it. You’ll connect with other locals who share your values, learn valuable leadership skills, and see the results of your efforts every time a pet goes home safe, or a feral colony finds peace. The sense of fulfillment is genuine, the gratitude in the eyes of animals and pet parents is real.
Take the step that makes your care count. Apply now to join the Tuolumne Spay and Neuter Board of Directors or our team of volunteers. Help shape a kinder future for animals and the families who love them. Your voice belongs at the table.
